Larye's Birthday
First we got out the big shiny pan and mommy sprayed so the cake wouldn't stick.
Then we got out a bowl and a spoon so we could start mixing stuff together.
But I decided I need to thoroughly check the bowl out first.
You just never know what you are going to find in these bowls these days. So I decided to get a closer look.
In the middle of my task I decided to have a little spoon snack. Mmmm...tasty.
This recipe clearly calls for a stick of butter and 3 eggs. Why do I only have one?
Well after the butter and eggs I wasn't much help with the mixing, but I watched mommy put the cake in the oven.
And I was exhausted, so I took a nap while it baked.
When I woke up it was all done. All except for the frosting.
And even though I didn't get to lick the spoon I still liked the chocolate frosted cake.
I had a toy to munch on. Are you sure you have a good hold on that mommy? I'm not too busy. I could help!
I did want to write "Happy Birthday Daddy" on the cake in green frosting, but after I got a little on my nose mommy decided this was a job best left to her alone.
Daddy's birthday was fun and I am glad I got to help make his cake. Maybe next year I can help eat it too! Happy Birthday Daddy. I love you.
